The design allows for even heat distribution using little charcoal. With a small amount of charcoal, you can reach high temperatures and even maintain them for hours. By using 100% natural lump charcoal fuel, you will get a strong wood-fired flavor on all the meats you cook with the added benefit of being able to smoke or not smoke to your liking.

The Kamado Joe Junior barbecue is the smallest version of the Kamado Joe range. Its reduced weight of 30kg and stainless steel grill diameter of 34cm increase its portability and make it possible to enjoy outdoor cooking almost anywhere. Very useful for those who do not have much space, ideal for car boot, picnics, garden parties, or camping. The Kamado Joe Junior rests securely on a cast iron stand and is easy to transport thanks to two practical handles.

A handy extra-large thermometer built into the Kamado Joe Junior’s lid indicates the temperature inside the grill. The grill’s thick-walled ceramic body collects heat, capturing moisture and flavour and the ceramic heat deflector – the accessory that is part of the grill – allows cooks to experiment with indirect heat for a more flexible cooking method. If the deflector is not used, cooking with direct heat is possible.

The charcoal combustion of the Kamado Joe Junior barbecue can be controlled not only by the 304 stainless steel draft door located at the bottom of the barbecue, but also by the cast iron vent in the lid, for precise regulation of the exhaust air flow. The heat range that the Kamado Joe Junior barbecue can reach is approximately 82 °C to 399 °C.
