The Kamado Joe Big Joe II model has an easy-open lid thanks to an air-lift hinge. A handy, extra-large thermometer integrated into the lid of the Kamado Joe Big Joe II indicates the temperature inside the barbecue. The thick-walled ceramic body of the barbecue collects heat, capturing moisture and flavour. The stainless steel latch and fibreglass gasket ensure a truly airtight grilling chamber. The ceramic heat deflectors – 2 semi-circular ceramic plates – the accessory that is part of the barbecue and allows cooks to experiment with indirect heat in a more flexible cooking method. If the ceramic deflector plates are not used, cooking with direct heat is possible.

The Kamado Joe Big Joe II barbecue allows you to prepare a wide variety of dishes with the flexible Divide & Conquer 2-level cooking system. It is a system that allows you to cook different foods in different ways and at different temperatures, all at the same time.

The charcoal combustion of the Kamado Joe Big Joe II barbecue can be controlled not only by the 304 stainless steel draft door located at the bottom of the barbecue, but also by the aluminum Kontrol Tower vent on the lid, for precise regulation of the exhaust air flow. The heat range that the Kamado Joe Big Joe II barbecue can reach is approximately 82 °C to 399 °C.
