The double-sided design of this cast iron half griddle is ideal for searing meats and seafood with a flavorful crust, sautéing vegetables, and even grilling sandwiches and paninis. The half griddle is also perfect for cooking your breakfast favorites—use the flat side for pancakes and eggs, and the ridged side for sausages and bacon. Authentic high-temperature grilling is quick, easy, and delicious!

This item is designed to work with the Basket System for the convEGGtor® XLarge BIG GREEN EGG. It also fits a kamado EGG 2XLarge (without a basket).

The half grill plate is used in the convEGGtor® XLarge basket, positioned as desired. At the lower level, it's closer to the coals and can provide maximum grilling temperatures. When used at the upper level, the grilling temperatures are moderate, allowing even the most delicate foods to be cooked perfectly.

But with the Big Green Egg 2XLarge kamados, the XLarge half griddle can also be used placed directly on the main grill of the kamado.
