The Big Green Egg grate lifter easily and safely grips and lifts cast iron and stainless steel grates; you'll never have trouble lifting the EGG grate.
Simply place the grill lifter on the cooking grate as shown. Squeeze the handle and rotate the grill lifter 1/4 turn (90°). Release the handle, check that the grate is secure, and lift.
